Bad news from China about the missing American climbers.
Xinhua News Agency in China reports that the body on an American climber has been found on Mount Edgar in the remote western Sichuan Province. As I reported last night, Jonny Copp, Micah Dash, and Wade Johnson were reported missing on the rugged 22,368-foot peak.
Rescuers are still searching for the other two climbers. The report did not identify the climber found. I’ll report more as information becomes available. But very sad news and the worst possible outcome. These guys were total bad-ass climbers.

This is horrible news. I took a clinic taught by Micah Dash at 2008 Red Rock Rendezvous, and he is a hilarious guy as well as an amazing climber. I hope things are not as grim as they sound.
