I spent most of last week and all of this week in the wonderful red rock canyon country surrounding Moab in eastern Utah. This week I'm pounding out a lot of foot miles on the area's best trails for a new book--Best Easy Day Hikes Moab--that my publisher FalconGuides will release in the spring.
So I haven't had any time to go rock climbing this week. Last week, however, I was here in the back of beyond with my climbing partners Brian Shelton with Front Range Climbing and Bill Springer, a doctor from Lubbock, Texas. Besides climbing a couple desert towers and before Bill took a leader fall and got a bad ankle sprain, we also spent some fun hours climbing at Wall Street, the most popular cliff around Moab.
If you're going to be in the canyon country this fall, check out a couple articles I've written here at About.com on Wall Street--Wall Street: Moab's Most Popular Climbing Area and Rock Climbing at Wall Street: Climbing Trip Planning Information and make plans to climb at Utah's premier roadside cragging area.
