Rock climbing seems pretty improbable and esoteric to someone who has never climbed before.
How do climbers cling to rock faces like Spiderman? Why aren't they afraid of heights? What happens if they fall? Can I get hurt rock climbing? Am I too old to start climbing? Or am I too weak to try climbing?
These are natural questions and fears about climbing. I've started a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section here on Climbing at About.com to answer some of the questions that novices have asked me or emailed me.
The first question is: Do I have to be strong to go rock climbing? Click on the link to read my answer.
Tell me your stories about climbing and strength by posting a comment below or email me your climbing questions and I will answer them. Look for more Questions and Answers over the next few months from the Answer Man!
