I was at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, Utah, last week. One day Oskar the Bear from Tretorn Shoes (they make great boots and shoes) stopped by the Falcon Guides/Globe Pequot Press booth to check out the new outdoor books for spring 2013. Here's a photograph I took of Oskar reading my new Rock Climbing Utah book and making plans to get out climbing on the cliffs at Little Cottonwood Canyon in the nearby Wahsatch Range.
Shouldn't bears be hibernating this time of the year and not expending valuable energy climbing rocks?
