Locking Carabiner

A carabiner with a gate that be either locked with a screw sleeve or with an auto-locking sleeve, allowing for more security than a regular carabiner. Locking carabiners are always used on belay and rappel devices, on anchors, and in every situation where it is very important that the rope or climber does not become detached from the carabiner and the safety system. Carabiner is an Italian word.
