Several of Long Dong’s three dozen crags stand out for their exceptional climbing, position, and quality stone. The Cathouse, The Clocktower, and Music Hall all feature tall sweeps of good sandstone with varied levels of difficulty. Golden Valley and Disco Buttress offer big roofs split by perfect jamcracks, while Dragon Ridge and Grand Auditorium present challenges of a different ilk, with longer, more adventurous routes on less predictable rock. Sport climbers find bolt-protected face climbs scattered throughout, with the best clip-ups concentrated at Music Hall.
