Hand Crack

A hand crack is a fissure in a rock face that is climbed by jamming or wedging your hands in the crack. Hand cracks are usually two to three inches in width. A narrow hand crack in which your hands barely fit is called a tight hand or thin hand crack. The best example of a perfect hand crack is Supercrack in Indian Creek Canyon in southeastern Utah.
