Boulder

A boulder is a large block of rock, usually freestanding, that is up to 25 feet high. Boulders are often found at the base of cliffs where they’ve fallen from above. Boulderers, climbers who specialize in climbing boulders, do difficult problems without ropes and equipment on boulders. The sport of climbing on boulders is called bouldering.
