Chickenhead
A chickenhead is a jutting horn of rock, which usually makes a perfect handhold or foothold. Chickenheads often occur in granite at climbing areas like Cochise Stronghold in Arizona or Turkey Rock, Colorado. Chickenheads can also be tied off with thin pieces of nylon cord as natural protection for a climbing leader.
